C&C for hamsters? Is it possible?
First for those who don't know, C&C cages are mostly used for guinea pigs, rabbits or similar animals. It's a kind of cube system out of panels that can be made into furniture, and can be made into animal cages. Google C&C cage to see what I mean
I was thinking...
If you lined the panels with plexi (all the way to the top) Then hamsters won't be able to reach to the top. Then you would be able to keep hams in C&C's? Just wondering what your thoughts on this might be? Is it possible?
I'm not considering doing this though xD I don't have C&C in my country!

I know C&C cages, the same thought has crossed my my mind.I rate it would be the coolest cage in the world in you managed to pull it off like a 3mx3m C&C cage imagen

I was also thinking about it! I can't access cubes in SA either though I was wishing I could, esp because I have guinea pigs and DIY cages for them are quite difficult because they have to be so big... But the cubes aren't that high, I guess you could only use them for little hams! Though they would be the greatest cages ever!

they look cool for piggies, but from a hamster point of view, that's a whole lotta bars to chew!!!

I'd actually considered this but would cost quite a bit. The grids are quite hard to get hold of too!

Not if you put the plexi on the inside though! Also since it would be large there would be less chewing

You could make it huge, and imagen the type of habitat you could build in a cage 3mx3m.

Couldnt you join plexi together without the c&c panels? Not too sure how though...

I thought the same as you amy xD that would be pretty cool...you could just join it with aquarium silicone. My Dad did that with my turtles tank (though he made it really small). But he go really annoyed with it xD Frustrated at the least!
