Arrow's Grand Escape
Arrow escaped her "Run About" ball today. Being the second time, I'm not going to use the Savic ones anymore. Last time she didn't get far, but this time she got all the way from the hall to where I was sitting in the living room. Luckily I saw her darting pass me, and herded her into my hands. I knwo it wasn't really a "grand" escape, but it turns out she's quite the escape artist
Any advice on escape-proof balls?

Re: Arrow's Grand Escape
Duct tape.
Sheet steel.
Rivets.
Welding torch.
Bank vault.
Hamster sized handcuffs.
Other than combining all of the above theres no such thing as 'escape proof' for our fuzzy little Houdini's, and even then, keep a close eye on them.

Re: Arrow's Grand Escape
Naughty Arrow! ;D
This is why i stopped using balls lol, one jammed (with mimi inside -.-), one split in half and broke, and the other one wouldnt shut! >.<
But masking tape is good to keep them shut if you dont use it already

Re: Arrow's Grand Escape
I'll try the masking/duct tape over the opening! I'll probably try some other kinds of balls aswell ![](https://www.hamstercentral.com/community/images/smilies/icon_smile.gif) They'll probably always find a way to get out from our proofing xD But Arrow's not a big fan of her playbin so >.>

Re: Arrow's Grand Escape
For my first hamster I used to cover the ball in parcel tape to keep her in ![](https://www.hamstercentral.com/community/images/smilies/icon_mad.gif) Its the best way really ![](https://www.hamstercentral.com/community/images/smilies/icon_smile.gif)
Some hamsters are just incredibly good at finding techniques to get it open!

Hee, mischievous little madam. I think the masking tape is a good idea.

Re: Arrow's Grand Escape
I used to use masking tape back in the days when I put my hams in exercise balls but I stopped using them and playtime was moved into the bath....with no water in it of course ![](https://www.hamstercentral.com/community/images/smilies/icon_biggrin.gif) They all prefer this to playing in the ball.
