Re: I have a spare cage.......
Aww I know exactly how you feel sweetheart!! I always go into my pet shop and always have to look at the little hammies sleeping, all curled up cosy and warm, in their glass homes. I just want to take one home with me but I know I can't.
We were so close to adopting a hamster the other week but my OH and I knew we didn't have the money to have a better home at this moment in time. We only had enough then for our Harley so we said our goodbyes and am in hope someone has adopted him
I always end up coming out with several new things for Harley as well, a new treat or toy for him to play with
I just can't help it, and in my eyes little Harley deserves the best
I've even stopped buying clothes for myself O_o

Re: I have a spare cage.......
hmmm...only take enough money for what you need, or lock the spare cage away and tell someone to hide the key
I have no self control at all, one look at a little pleading face and i've had it

Re: I have a spare cage.......
I Just always think 'would I have enough time to give all my hamsters the love and care they need if I got another one'
I work 8-4, am out of the house about 7.30am-5pm I end up falling asleep about 10/10:30. Some nights Sandy wants to come out about 5 times..and some nights it's hard to fit that all in along with everything else (especially when I'm tired)
I have spare cages, I also have enough money for another one, as well as enough love..but I think that I need to look after the hammies I have, rather than getting any more. Also, the more hammies you have, the less space you have for current hammies

Re: I have a spare cage.......
I know it is so hard when you see the little hammys in those tiny cages and looking so sad desperate for a home . Totally agree with you Katie, i have enough time for them all and money etc but just hate seeing all the hammys waiting for homes. My guinea pigs that i got are my last pets If only i could give up work and become a full time hamster mummy plus a nice big win on the lottery lol
