Not sure who you like or cannot suggest as I don't know your age really but say you like Micheal Jackson, Hamster could be called Jackson. Jay Sean - Jay or Jay Jay etc..

I know what you mean, we called our hamster 'ubu'!
Maybe, if your hamster knows his name already you could think of a name with a similar sound - apparently it's the sound they respond to rather than the specific name. So something that rhymes with bogey...mowgli? (from the jungle book) I like bogey though. But clearly I'm not to be trusted with names!
