Apples and Chaos go on an adventure!!! (pictures included)

Guess who forgot to close the cage door last night?! Yep, me!

And guess who got out?! Yep, my boys!

I'm so dense, I totally forgot to shut their cage door last night, and my boys, being boys who have just learned to climb around like fools, decided to escape. I am so so so soooo angry with myself, but so relieved that they're alright.

We first came in and saw the cage door open, immediately looked inside for them, and when we didn't find them, we began tearing the room apart. Our first piece of evidence was this:

Pieces of food that they don't like strewn across the floor!

We searched under the bed and found this:

Tons of sunflower seed shells!

The box we found Apples in:


The shoe we found Chaos in:

You can see where he chewed. There was also some food in the heel and a pee stain. I reached my hand up into the shoe and he squeaked and smacked me with his paw! I screamed at first, but was soooo happy to find him alive and well.

And the disarray of our apartment after tearing the room up to find them:

Thank goodness we found them!

haha yup the lovely world of houdinis! Check all the wires carefully!

I moved everything out of all my rooms looking for gizmo..never found him so its great u found ur lot!

Leave them be for a day or so and make sure they have plenty of water x

Awww I'm sorry about your Gizmo. We were so scared we weren't going to find them :/

Ohmigosh the first thing they did when they got back was drink a ton of water. I felt so bad for them, poor little things, all scared and thirsty.

Well, Chaos was scared and thirsty. Apples poked his head out from the box of electronics like "oh hey mom! nice to see you! were you looking for me?" And we checked over all the wires in the box, it looked like he hadn't touched them. He must have been full from all the sunflower seeds he stole from his treat bowl on the way out.

hehe when we lost gixmo the first time he had eaten his way into the divan bed in 3 places (its hidden from my landlord) and there was a stash of food behind as well..it is quite funny when you find where they have been (after you have gotten over the utter panic you have lost them!)

They do like to worry us dont they!
Luckily my lot are quite satisfied and will just either find a place to sleep or come running to my feet
Peggy and Treo haven't escaped yet and i really hope they don't

Ugh lucky! I wish mine would come to my feet. We tore the entire room up looking for them. They were napping in the box and the shoe, and seemed utterly surprised at our panic.

When I reached into the shoe to see if Chaos was in there, he squeaked at me and smacked me with his paw, as if to say "Leave me alone! I was napping!"
