What do you do with your hamster when you go on holiday?
I have just been on holiday for 2 weeks and I left Hammis with my nan and grandad. When I got back she was a little sad that I left. Nothing a little play wont sort out though!
What do you do with your hammie when you go on holiday?

We leave our hamsters with friends. Most of them have their own hamsters (our babies!) and we know they are in safe hamds. For a weekend we will leave them with a good food supply and two water bottles and they are fine.

When I am away overnight for one or two days I do the same as souffle, longer trips away like those I take for work, my partner Jules stays behind to look after the hamsters. If we both have to go away then my brother will check on the hamsters (and our cat) and my parents usually get any babies, and the dwarf dunas as they are easy to transport.

No holidays for me! I love my animals and don't trust anyone to look after them. My mum is brilliant and we live together and she adores them, but doesn't handle them because she hasn't the confidence really. But I do agree that if you do have to go away that it's important to have people who are already hamster owners and are confident and know what they are doing.

I leave them with friends, they'd usually get a key to my flat and left specific instructions about whose in what tub and what they get. All my friends spend a lot of time with them though so i feel assured they are in safe hands although the vets number is always left just incase!!

I normally leave my animals with my grandma because she takes care of my family's cat and so my hamster will be taken care of too when we're away..I leave specific instructions and I demonstrate for her and she can always call me.
