Harry Hamster...
I know alot of people make food mixes but is this food okay on it's own or can anyone recommend a mix I can make including this food?
I also supplement my syrian's diet with mealworms, millet spray and fresh fruit&veg.
Here are a few percentages from the food packaging incase anyone needs it:
Protein: 19.0%
Oil: 6.0%
Ash: 5.0%
Fibre: 5.0%
Can also post all ingredients if needed...
EDIT: Oh, and aswell, I am feeding one table spoon of food per day. Is this okay for a large-ish female syrian?

Re: Harry Hamster...
My lot personally didnt like it, the selective ate a lot and the reggie rat my rats came with looked very low quality so personally its not for me...but i know lots of people use it on here.
i use natures feast with treats of dried mealworma, raisens, dried banana chips, sun dried corn, peanuts, markies, milk and choc drops and bakers healthy delights.
then veggies and fruits ..oh and porridge x

Re: Harry Hamster...
Wow, what a mix!
Well, I'd preferably like to stay with Harry Hamster as Snickers, my hamster, eats it all but I just wanted to check that I don't need to add anything else.

Re: Harry Hamster...
Hatty Hamster is a complete food for hammies so no need to add anything to this. You can use it as a 'base' for a homemade mix if you want to try making your own. Fluffymunchkins makes her own mix using HH as the base I will try and find a link for you . . . . . .
Homemade hamster mix
You can disregard the 'bad bits removed' - we were wrongly informedthat pea and corn/maise flakes were bad for dwarfies so we all went mad picking them out of the mix - but turns out that they are fine

Re: Harry Hamster...
Ah, okay then thanks for that It wasn't really that I wanted to make a mix but I just wanted to find out if the food had enough nutrition on it's own.

Re: Harry Hamster...
Hi, yh thats my mix, i also now tryed adding Wilkinsons own into it to add bulk and for a bit of variation.
But i was shocked by the condition of the wilkinsons own mix, but i suppose i'll have to use it up now :/
Anyone for a hamster food snackbar
They love the extra variation, although lentils aren't a big fave, they adore the hemp seed and peggy especially loves the millet.
I started making it mainly because i found peggy was a bit bored of just Harry Hamster
