What shall I feed my Chinese Hamster when I get her?

Not having had hamsters for about 30 odd years - what does a Chinese Hamster eat, please?

Ordinary hamster mix I think, although I dont own a chinese myself, but I havent heard that they have a special diet.

i've never owned chinese either, but the best all round mix for any breed is harry hamster.
I use it for my syrian, robo and russian dwarf. I know a chinese breeder that uses and likes it too!

I made a homemade dwarf mix based along the lines of FM's mix for my Chinese. He loves the little seeds and quite often I find empty shells and things in his sandbath (obviously his bin). Harry Hamster is a good all round mix for them though.

Both my boys love the mix and when I put a fresh bowl in, Spud is straight there having a good rake through.I did add a few other things in as well (can't remember what though).

Actually speaking of Chinese....where is my little one?

Any mix really, people have their preferences, mine is P@H muesli
