you are missing stuff out, so anything not on here dont give isnt exactly true, for instance you can give them plain live yogurt, very good for those on meds or with a bad tummy...

A good list!
These are so many things that are ok for hams, the list would prob be a mile long!
Some of the things on here are not sutiable for dwarfies though.

Cake, raisins, prunes, sultanas, buscuits, sugar cane - all too high in sugar for dwarfies I thought, but do please correct me if I am wrong!

Ah yes I got confused about whether high sugar does effect dwarfs more! I asked souffle and was told that, that was not the case
But I'm unsure now whether Russian dwarfs do in particular?

Re: Hamster treats u can give:) full list :)
i would edit breakfast cereals, some people may think sugary or choc ones are ok.
Also i thought dandelions were off the list, thought it was a dodgy one.
Oh id put markies on there- specifically as 'dog biscuits' lol x
ps. there are lists like this on the wiki page

Re: Hamster treats u can give:) full list :)
sugar is not really good for any hamster, but it is actually dangerous for campbells, and so is also for many hybrids, this is due to the fact they are more prone to diabetes...so if you have a campbell, or a winter white you think may be hybrid, then best to avoid all the sweet stuff!
and yes live yogurt helps their gut bacteria, which the meds will kill off, as such its really good for a hamster with a bit of an upset system!
