Did you make up the list or copy it?
Wild plants are very tricky as many people cannot recognise the types and also you must be doubly sure they have not been strayed with weedkiller or fertiliser or peed on by wild animals that may have infections or exposed to traffic fumes.
There are many items on the list I would never risk myself and there are some specific items unsuitable for certain species as noboo has noted.

and yes live yogurt helps their gut bacteria, which the meds will kill off, as such its really good for a hamster with a bit of an upset system!
thanks nooboo, i really do confuse myself sometimes
I will be sure to avoid or only very occasionally give sugary things to Treo my russian hybrid.

Will try get hold of some yogurt for pegs too

My local pet shop told me that avocado and lettuce should be avoided with dwarf hamsters any clarifications?

odd, as i am sure i have seen this list before...

http://www.petwebsite.com/hamsters/h...vegetables.htm

found it, and sadly it seems word for word identical, though they do include a list of whats dangerous instead of including a sweeping statement of anything not included is...

you do realise that as this is totally identical and you have claimed it is your own work you have actually committed copyright theft. In future if you wish to copy a list like that put a link in to the original (you should really ask permission first as well!)

As others have said many wild plants etc can potentially cause issues, with fumes, treatments, or mis-identification! and to be honest fresh greens etc even with 'safe' vegetables it can be a little pointless they are mainly a water source so great if traveling with a hamster. the 'other treats' section is perhaps more useful.

Cant help with avacado sonwman I'm afraid, but with lettuce I think it is to do with the water content as too much can cause upset tummys, diarehoa and so on, a little is ok for a source of water on a hot day, as far as I am aware. (well boris has had some and been ok - only a tiny shred though!)
