Is this bedding and seed mix good ?

I am from India. My vet has recommended this bedding and seed mix for my 5 month old Syrian hamster. Are these good for him ?

I had to do some hunting to find out what's in the food. For reference:
"Wheat Bran, Sunflower Extracted Meal, Wheat, Barley, Alfalfa Meal, Grass Meal, Corn, Red Sorghum, Oat Groats, Wheat Flakes, Carob, Striped Sunflower Seed, Oil Sunflower Seed, Dried Carrot, Flax Seed, Peanut, Raisin, Pea, Ray Bran, Beet Pulp (Dried, Molasses)
Crude Protein (Kjeldahl method) min. 12.2%
Crude Fat min. 3.9%"

The mix seems fine, in that there is a good variety of things in it, and nothing harmful. Some might worry over the molasses, which is basically sugar, but in small amounts, especially for a Syrian (as opposed to diabetes-prone hamsters), it's not a problem. The main thing you'll need to do is add more protein; chicken (cooked, plain) and insects (freeze dried ones meant for small pets) are probably the best way to help boost the protein amount. Make sure you add in a good choice of fruits and vegetables as well.

As for the bedding...it should be fine, whether used as nesting material or substrate. For nests, hamsters do tend to like strips of tissue to snuggle down in, but hay should be alright as well.
