Whimzees - what's OK - what size and the colours
Hi all,
I went to get my Syrian hamster (Pippin) some whimzees, to discover there are different sizes, shapes and colours.
Tried looking up what size I should get and which colours are safe, but can't find anything.
I'm assuming the 'Small dog' size is the one I should get?
Also are any of the colours NOT safe or are they all OK?
Any shape better than others?
Thanks.

The color and shape doesn't matter with the standard Whimzees. The ones you shouldn't use are the veggie sausages and veggie strips as they have clove oil which isn't safe for hamsters.

Re: Whimzees - what's OK - what size and the colours
All colours are safe - my hamsters (and mice) don’t really like the green ones they still chew/eat them but they seem to prefer the other two colours better. For mine I get the hedgehogs as they last longer as they are thicker as some of mine get through the other shapes like the alligators very quickly. Size doesn’t matter - I go for medium and large size as when I got the smaller ones my Syrians tried forcing it into her pouch so feel more comfortable with larger sizes since.

Hi, my local farmer's shop sells Antos dog chews individually. They look exactly like Whimzees but they come in even more colours. My hamsters love the white ones!
