Default Washing water bowls/bottles?

Hi! Those are my 2 main concerns on similar things to dietary that I always don’t know how it works, and willing to solve it!
Q1: I currently bought a water bowl for my future hammy, but I suddenly realised that I got to wash the bowl and I’m not sure if I have to wash it daily with specific dish soap or what. I also have a backup water bottle for when I go to a friends house for a sleepover and although I know I have to wash it even more often I’m not sure how to.

If washing them does require dish soap, can someone tells me what kind of soap and where can I buy them in the uk?

Q2:This is basically my main main problem-how much veggie to give? I’ve done some researches before and the answer I always found is just a small piece per day or few pieces per few days but I’m always willing to know how much does others give to theirs Syrians?

Thank you so much for reading this post!!

Just your usual dish soap followed by a rinse is fine.

For vegetables, a good guidelines for portion size is about 1cm cubed, daily or a few days a week, depending on your preference.

I prefer using bottles and I now have hamster #6. They got a small piece of veggie each day.
My Hamster #5 loved zucchini. He was called Milo Kusa. Kusa means zucchini.

I usually use pet safe disinfectant to clean bottle and bowls but make sure you rinse thoroughly afterwards. And for inside of the bottle I use a toothbrush to clean inside. If your hamster hasn’t had a bowl before it might be good to provide them both - as I’ve had hanster who prefer a bowl then I’ve had others who stick their nose into the water and won’t go near the bowl so use the bottle instead.

With veg I give a small amount a day depending on what veg it is usually a thumbnail size (1cm) is ideal unless it watery veg like cucumber then I would feed a less.
