Question how often should hamsters be fed vegetables

i've been feeding my hamster a tablespoon of safe vegetables every day but wasn't sure if this was totally safe. i've heard they can get diarrhea from it but haven't noticed that yet. it's sort of the only nutrition he gets in his diet as of now (planning on buying sprays) besides his food mix and the flowers/herbs sprinkled in his cage that he doesn't seem to like.

I feed about the same amount or a bit less daily to our Syrians. They wait for it and look forward to it. As long as their poops are solid that's fine.

Daily. But only a tiny amount. Which they will eat rather than hoard. They eat such tiny amounts that it’s a bit pointless putting a lot of veg out as it’ll need throwing away again. Except for variety maybe. My concern would be if there’s too much out for them to eat in a day, they may hoard it and it go rotten and get maggots (been there with a blueberry a Robo hid) and you having to keep poking about in their nests to check (which they hate).

I give a small piece of veg daily - for a Syrian about 1cm cubed size (doesn’t have to be cube shaped but to give an idea of study). Or one tiny broccoli floret. For a dwarf hamster about half of that. For our Robo I put out about a quarter of that and he only nibbles part of it and leaves the rest.

My hamster_-hybrid dwarf- eats a lot of veg, but doesn't seem to drink water (completely ignores water bottle. Oh, Sorry. he has just had a few licks of water as I am writing.
He can easily eat a slice of tomato a day (end slice with skin on it), medium size leaf of lettuce or small size od broccoli floret including the stem.
He seems to look healthy, pooping and peing ok, loves to run on his wheel.
Good thing is, that he doesn't drag veggies into his nest. Just keep them outside and pops out during the day to munch. I check his nestfew times a week, because he sometimes pees there (I know, it's a bit filthy habit).
maybe it depends on preferences
