Default Peanut in shell...concerned!

Hi there,

Yesterday morning I set out a peanut in shell as a treat for my Syrian hamster. I have only given her one before and she was able to open it and eat the peanuts inside. This time she shoved it in her pouch and continued exploring. I wasn't too concerned as I assumed she was just saving it for later and might eat it in her hideout, but this morning I can still see the shape of the whole peanut in her pouch. Everything I have read suggests that peanuts in shell is a great boredom breaker etc, but now I am very worried it is somehow stuck in her pouch, surely she wouldn't keep it there for 24 hours on purpose??

Anyone had a peanut in shell get stuck in their hamster's pouch or had hamster carry it for a long time before removing to eat it? I feel so bad and don't know what to do.

Thanks!

Hello and welcome to HC!

I've only just seen that post.
Did your hamster unpouch the peanut?
