Is this food ok for hamsters?
I just opened a packet of Selective Naturals Meadow Loops - with Timothy Hay & Thyme, and I’ve given one to my Syrian hamster. After that I noticed it says ‘for rabbits’ on the box! Down the bottom it says ‘ideal for rabbits guinea pigs, chinchillas & degus’. It was right next to other small animal treats and I just didn’t notice. Are they ok to give him? I can’t return as I opened the package.

I don't think hamsters eat hay so i doubt that he'd eat it. He may hoard it though.
I don't know if its suitable to feed to hamsters but don't think it would harm him going by the ingredients list.

its not going to harm him, but it's probably not going to be his favourite treat or the best thing to give him. But who knows, he may like it.

Re: Is this food ok for hamsters?
It shouldn't do your hamster any harm as hamsters can and do eat hay from time to time, they just don't have the same need for it that a rabbit or a guinea pig might.
I gave a similar hay based treat to my hamsters recently and whilst my Robos seemed to enjoy them, my Chinese ignored them in favour of begging for seeds instead.
