Default Jerusalem Artichoke Stems - Safe?

Will be placing my order on rodipet soon to try their food mixes however I have seen Jerusalem Artichoke stems which I’m unsure whether to get or not?

https://www.rodipet.co.uk/pet-foods/...ticks-50g.html

As they say they help keep blood sugar levels constant due to a high inulin content. But have anyone tried them before? Are they good?
Just want to be certain before making my purchase.

The hybrid mixes already contain jerusalem artichoke so you wouldn’t need to buy it seperately. I’m not sure if it could be harmful to give as a chew alongside the hybrid mix or to non diabetes-prone species, like if it could make their insulin levels too high? I’ll have to do some research.

I forgot that the hybrid mix already contained Jerusalem artichoke - I was thinking of it more as a chew and enrichment.
Also Inulin is different from insulin. Inulin is a complex sugar/prebiotic which cant be metabolised so won’t effect blood sugar levels. Whereas Insulin is a hormone which regulated blood sugar levels.

It's perfectly safe & healthy but I have yet to have a ham who's remotely interested in it!

Thought it might be something a bit more appealing to them. Liquorice might have some interest in them as she a big chewer. Although I think it worth a try nevertheless as otherwise it can be cage decor.

I misread it as insulin lol I don’t see why it wouldn’t be safe then
