hamster vitimin solution water additive neccisary?

hi i have a dwarf chinese hamster (pinky) and i add this to his water do i need to,

reasons
1.its a bit pricey for the amount but if needed then that dont matter
2. it turns the water yellowy colour which then looks stale and horrible

also we live in a hard water area

he gets fed hamster muesly and has a mineral block and ive only had him for a few days so im going to start giving him the ocasional treat twice a week chicken/veg/stuff like that

I don't use that and my hamsters are all still alive, I think you can give them vitamins in other ways

Just make sure you supplement their diet with other foods like mealworms and fresh fruit and veg (not too much though) and maybe some oats and I'm sure they will be perfectly fine!

yeah im gonna start giving fresh fruits and treats in aweek as i want him to be settled first do you think i should use this untill then

We don't use it either and don't think it is necessary.
We did once and found it made the bottles grow algae and they are really hard to clean. They would go green in a day!!! To clean bottles now we use a bottle brush and every so often we soak them in Miltons baby bottle cleaning stuff.
