Default Is Guinea Pig Food OK for Syrian Hamsters?

Quick question please......we are very low on food for our 1 year old syrian hamster Nibbles. With the snow/ice so bad we only magaged to get to our local supermarket but unfortuantely they only have basic Guinea Pig food. Is this OK? is there anything that would possibly be OK for guinea pigs but not hamsters or is it the size of the seeds?
I know it is a silly question but we never have questioned this before and she is our first hamster. We could continue giving her carrots but would like to know for sure.
Thanks

It would do in an emergency Tucker and you should feed it for now as long as you can get out and get the hamster food as soon as possible. If it contains spikey bits of anything pick them out in case they pierce the pouches but most of the seeds will be much the same. You can give her stuff from your store cupboard like lentils, barley, porridge (ready brek is loved!) dry bread crusts, frozen peas, sweetcorn etc. Don't feed too much fresh carrots etc as it can cause diorrhoea and you don't want to get to the vets

it is okay at a push but try to get hamster food again as soon as you can and if need be mix the two together to use it up
