Can syrians eat raw sweet potato.

While it wouldn't be toxic raw(unlike true potato,since sweet potato isn't really a potato at all!)it would probably be best cooked.From what I can find with humans it's one of the foods that are easier to digest cooked,and if eaten raw in large amounts it can cause digestive problems(but that doesn't make it toxic).
