Feeding dwarf hamster veggies

How often can/should I feed veggies to my dwarf hybrid hamster? I'm aware of the safe veggie list, and that I shouldn't feed high sugar foods, but just wondering about the amount and frequency.

A nail-sized cube of veggies per day should be a good amount to feed per day. For hybrids, the only thing to limit in terms of veggies besides sugar is water content. However, it is important that fruit and vegetables should be introduced to a hamster's diet gradually as a sudden large amount of fruit or vegetables can cause diarrhoea. To begin with the hamster should only be given a small piece of fruit or vegetable once or twice a week and over a period of weeks this can be increased to a small piece every day. If at any time the hamster shows signs of diarrhoea then you should stop feeding all fruit and vegetables until the hamster has recovered and then gradually re-introduce them into the diet.

Start slow, maybe a tiny nail size piece every three days & gradually increase to daily if your ham gets on ok with them, I've never had any problems with hams adjusting to veg but better to be cautious.
Once your ham is used to veg then variety is as important as frequency so don't give the same thing more than once every few days & keeping within the safe, low sugar veg give as many different things as your ham enjoys.
