That would not be a very good idea.Milk Bones are poor quality in general, with ingredients that should be avoided(unspecified biproducts including digest, derivatives, meat and bone meal, etc should never be in treats for any animal including dogs and hamsters as well as containing BHA/BHT/ethoxyquin which are all known to cause cancer and must not be given however in the UK the manufacturer abuses a loophole term to hide the "antioxidants").

I know in the UK Lily's Kitchen at least make one hamster safe biscuit which would be suitable for any non-diabetes prone hamster, but in the US we have tons more options.

Definitely avoid artificial ingredients(sugars, dyes, etc),processed sugars(especially with diabetes prone hamsters, but no animal ever needs dextrose!),and the mentioned unspecified biproducts(also including unspecified liver as this is not safe either)along with the BHA/BHT/ethoxyquin mentioned. If they're to be shared with dogs, they must not have corn or wheat(not necessarily grain free,as a lot of dogs tolerate oatmeal and rice for example just fine while corn and wheat aren't really tolerated nor are they natural for dogs to eat plus they have zero nutritional value to dogs or cats).

I think the milk bones would be ok in small quantities.

I give my hams the Lily's Kitchen cheese & apple biscuits or ones made by a brand called Tribal, but only because these are the kind I buy for my dog, so it makes sense to share! The Tribal ones are extremely hard and crunchy, so are good for the teeth too - I buy the apple, mint & ginger flavour.

Very occasionally I will get a couple of loose Markies/Biscrok/Bonio from Pets At Home, my Syrian loves those. I won't buy a big box though as hams would never get through them and dog cannot have them!

Even in small quantities the questionable at best quality isn't worth it It may not do damage right away, but that doesn't make it suitable to feed them to any animal. With the wonderful alternative choices out there, there's no reason to take that risk at all.

I really wouldn't recommend milkbones either. The only chemical in them that's verified is BHA, but even just a little is a big risk. Carcinogenic compounds (BHA) should really be avoided at all costs for the health of your hamsters. However, there's no need to feel down as there's tons of other options out there! Biscrock biscuits, whimzees, antos chews, and the occasional greenie (occasional as they contain gelatin) all make wonderful treats for your hamster(s) and are safe too. You could even offer homemeade dog treats if you're skilled in the culinary arts Best wishes

I honestly have no idea where this recipe is from, but it's saved on my computer when I was dog-sitting:

Ingredients:

3 cups flour

1 cup peanut butter

1/2 cup oats

1/4 cup grated carrots (optionial, or any other safe veggie)

1 tsp baking powder (don't use for hamsters)

1/4 cup water

Directions: Preheat oven to 350 F. Combine ingredients, roll out, and cut out with cookie cutters. Bake 10 minutes. Then, flip cookies over, and bake until golden brown (usually about 10 more minutes). Cool and serve.
I've made a batch for Titania, and she loves them!

Biscrok are just as bad as Milk Bone biscuits, but merely use loopholes and other terms in the UK.There's really not much if any difference, sadly I understand that they're popular, but popularity does not indicate suitability.

It sounds very similar to one of ErinsAnimals recipes, so maybe you watched it and noted down the recipe? For anyone interested, I will link the original video. ErinsAnimals's peanut butter dog biscuits.
