Default Play n bedding pods

My friend has given me one of the rosewood play n bedding pods, but I dont think hamsters can have these. Its got "fluff" inside it, which is why Ive never bought them before. Isnt it the same stuff as that fluffy bedding that isnt safe?

I'm more than likely going to throw it away to be honest

Unfortunately it isn't safe however, instead of binning it, why not rip it open and remove all the fibers? Then give the empty shell back to your ham? This way it reduces waste and you don't have to feel bad about not using your friends gift

Love your new profile picture by the way!

Kapok(which this product is)isn't safe,as you already guessed. It's not cotton(which can be a natural product as well!),but are equally indigestible

I wouldn't even risk using the pods, there are plenty other safe toys and a good friend will understand safety comes before anything!

I was planning on using it as a weapon. Haha, kidding. Good idea though. Just have to find a way of getting inside it without losing fingers haha.

Thank you. That is what I refer to as her "carebear stare" face, when she stares at me through the cage, usually when Im eating and not playing with her. She squeaked/ chirped at me tonight for the first time, which I believe is a happy noise. And i swear she hopped too.

She is, such a confident little monster now and is happy to "treadmill" over my hands for our nightime bonding sessions. She seems to still like me even though she fell off the sofa last night, before having another 10 minutes exploration under the sofa and then the fridge. Clearly I have been forgiven. Although I think she needs a crash helmet haha
