Default Is this food ok?

I was wondering if the mix that I feed is safe… it's sold in my pet store in bulk and consist of sunflowers seeds and corn. I also got a bag of living world hamster food when I got her? Are these safe and ok food?

A food that consists solely of corn and sunflower seeds is not a suitable permanent mix as it lacks in important nutrients needed for your hamsters health. What specific brand is it? The protein content in the living world food is too low and thus would need to be supplemented, and it's fiber content is way too low for hams. The sunflower seeds and corn will make it overly sugary and fatty and thus should simply be avoided. Hazel/Harry hamster can be ordered off amazon would be cheaper and MUCH healthier if you have a Syrian. If you have a dwarf, it's even more critical that you switch to something like Burgess dwarf hamster food

Sun flower seeds and corn are not a good food. You need more variety of seeds.

Hazel hamster is good. You could get some lab blocks to. Vegetables and a little chicken/protein every so often are good additions.

Mazuri lab blocks are best.Do not buy low quality lab blocks like Kaytee,as these are questionable at best and nowhere near as good as Mazuri. If you're feeding Hazel/Harry Hamster you don't need them, and the protein added would be completely unnecessary therefore there'd be no benefit to feeding them.

Another diet option would be Carefresh hamster food and Higgins Sunburst. This is not good unless you boost the protein since it isn't high enough just using 1 tablespoon of Carefresh and 1/2 tablespoon of Higgins, but once freeze dried chicken or another safe animal protein source(for example mealworms)is added it will be perfectly suitable. The pellets wouldn't need breaking like with Mazuri, and it at least adds a bit of extra variety.Carefresh is also easier to find in stores, whereas Mazuri is incredibly difficult to find and also costs more.
