Campell's Russain Dwarf Hybrid Mix?

Hello all,

So currently I am using the Dwarf Hamster Harvest by Burgess for Nutmeg's food and as she is prone to diabetes I need to remove the flaked peas and some of the sunflower seeds (but not all) there is no corn in the mix so that has already been removed but does anybody know of a mix that already has the flaked peas and corn removed??

That mix is fine for diabetes prone species, just don't remove anything as you are taking out essential vitamins, minerals, fibre, complex carbs & essential fats which actually does more harm than good, feed it just as it comes.

But won't she get diabetes if she has the flaked peas or corn?? I have seen it on ErinsAnimals

No, that is really outdated info, it used to be thought you should remove bits from the mix but it's not a good idea, it just upsets the overall GA of the mix & removes things she actually needs.

Just saw the video again and there is a note to say that can leave these in as it doesn't increase diabetes as previously believed and you said it too . How shall I put the flaked peas back in, shall I do it gradually or in steps?
