I just had a look at a couple of websites & both say protein is 16% which is a bit low (I thought it was higher tbh) but it's not too hard to supplement protein with a few mealworms (if your ham likes them) or something like a small piece of chicken once or twice a week so if that's your best option it would be fine.

Chicken has been a favourite of my Syrians. None of my Syrians would touch mealworms. Yours might though.

I don't know why but my bag of harry hamster (the tiny friends farm one) says 18%?!

I can't quite remember how it works but I think there was something about the way they measure/label things or present the G/A in the US is different & Hazel Hamster is actually the same as Harry Hamster, can't quite get my head around that tbh lol! but it's still a good enough mix either way!

Actually, Harry Hamster and Hazel Hamster are exactly the same recipe, it's just different laws in the different countries mean that the nutritional analyses look different Serendipity7000 wrote to them about it a few months ago and posted about it here.

Personally I don't like Harry Hamster since they changed the recipe last year, my hamsters won't eat half of it any more, but I don't know much about the US hamster food market so I don't know what your other options are!

I just bought some food that is labeled as Mouse and Rat food, but it has all the same/similar ingredients to hamster foods.

It seems lower in sugar, and it has 19.5% protein which is the highes protein that is available to me. (The rest are all 14% or lower.)

The Food

This is really the only food I could find that wasn't chock full of sugar or just full of seeds and other bits.

I don't think I'll have a lot of problems with the mealworms, though. Kornelia would eat a whole bag if I'd let her.

I might give her one or two tonight, as she's pretty much eaten her other foods. I believe it should be okay, as the ingredient list seems pretty much similar.
