Default Which food should I get from Zooplus?

Hamster Food | Great selection at zooplus

Hi All

Which ham food would you suggest out of this lot? I want it from Zooplus because I regularly order from them and they have a good loyalty scheme.

Thanks!

None of them are nutritionally complete on their own

Someone who has actually used any of the foods is the best person to advise. Hope they reply soon.

Check the ingredients and the levels of proteins etc. You can check the reviews on zoo plus to also see what people have written.

Additional items of food can be given as well as the main mix. See what others give to their hamsters and try giving some to your hamster.

If you can get Harry Hamster it would be much better and it is quite cheap from Viovet at least.I skimmed through the ingredients and a lot of them contained fish, dairy product,or otherwise questionable ingredients. They also either had way too little protein or too much fat Harry Hamster is a pretty good amount of protein and fat though, and it costs very little to purchase and if you get it through Viovet shipping is either free or extremely low cost.

There is Harry Hamster from Viovet.Zooplus don't sell Harry Hamster but they do sell other products by the same brand, which irritates me.I'm sure I'm the only one but it's just a little bit confusing and frustrating having to go elsewhere to get something, but honestly with Harry Hamster extra things are less necessary at least on a daily basis where with the others you'd have to completely formulate an extra 6% protein into the diet which surely would take up the 20% allowance for add on foods.

Is it for a dwarf hamster or a Syrian? I wouldn't get any of them to be honest. I'd also suggest Harry Hamster for a Syrian and Burgess dwarf hamster for a dwarf hamster. I have tried most of the Zooplus ones and went back to Harry Hamster - the others have too many itty bitty pieces in for Syrians and it all ends up at the bottom not leaving much to get their teeth into. The JR Farm Feast one is low in protein and smelled horrible lol.

Although you can get discount at Zooplus, Hamster food isn't that expensive and you could probably get it at a good price somewhere else. Amityville mentioned viovet - I get two bags at once usually to save on postage.

Amazon can be quite good too for hamster food too, though you would need to make sure it wasn't an "add on item" because otherwise you have to buy extra things in order to buy it! Some pet shops sell Harry Hamster too, though may be more expensive, or maybe a garden center that sells pets/pet items should sell hamster food too. It's a pity the supermarkets no longer sell it! They did when I was a kid, so it was so easy to get hold of, and usually cheaper too!

So far I know Viovet sell Harry Hamster, not sure if P@H do but Zooplus definitely does not I'll check P@H real quick and edit this once I know if they do and if Viovet is cheaper. So far I'm thinking Viovet might be the best way,but we'll know for sure once I check P@H!

P@H also sell Harry Hamster!Very lucky too as it is cheaper, but I'm not sure about their postage(shipping, sorry I'm from the US and we're highly improper)but it is cheaper as far as the actual product goes.

Zooplus food isn't very good on its own, you can get Harry Hamster for a fantastic price on VetUK, although it's out of stock most of the time. If not, VioVet
