Question Mealworms

When feeding your hams mealworms do they have to be live, or can they be the dried ones that you feed to birds? I've got some dried ones already but they can go on the bird table if they're no good for Alfie

Brilliant they were a steal in home bargains earlier so I thought either way a small animal is getting some use from them!

I don't think live ones are good, as they can bite the hammie

Gus loves meal worms, he can't get enough of them. I've had to limit how many I give him though as they are very fatty I love Home Bargains I'm not sure how much you paid for them but I get mine from Pound Land, they're a steal

Haha, I should've looked in there first

Taming's going well thank you. He'll take treats from my fingers and is quite happy for me to stroke him while he's eating a treat but he isn't too sure of my hand yet. He'll only take treats from my hand if they're right on the edge and he doesn't have to walk onto it to get them

Live ones are actually better nutritionally, although you have to be smart about feeding them, either pinch their heads or feed head first and make sure the ham eats it and not pouches it. Pinching it's head is the safer way.
