Question Hamster diet

Hi, im new to this hamster diet thing and wondering what is the best hamster diet i can provide to my dwarf hamster? Although hamster mixes are limited to my country i want to give him the best i can.

In terms of hamster mix i found 4 that is available on petstores or online:
-versele laga hamster nature
-vitakraft premium menu
-smart heart rodent food
-ecotrition essential blend

So far he is using a mix of versele laga hamster nature 700g and vitakraft premium menu 400g. A.) Is that a proper mix or i need to replace one or both? B.) how much a day should i give?

For added protein i give him a mealworm or boiled egg (white and yolk) or boiled chicken. Is this enough?

Also i give him 1/8 tsp squash baby food a day and a bit of vegetables every other day.

For treats i give him a bit of fruit or cheese or wheat bread every week.

Is this ok? Do i need to change something? Thanks for your feedback.

Which dwarf species do you have?
If it's a russian pet shop hamster then I wouldn't give any fruit, cheese once a week is too much & bread really isn't good either, a little egg or chicken once or twice a week or the mealworms is good for supplementing protein, they don't need that much extra really, hold old is your ham? They do need a little more protein in their first 6 months.
I'd only give baby food to an elderly or old ham, it's largely water & not ideal.
You could give something like sunflower seeds (in the shell) flax seeds or a little millet as a treat, those are healthy in moderate amounts & generally loved by most hams.
I can't remember the G/A of those mixes off hand but can have a look & comment later.

I really dont know what kind of dwarf he is. I found him off the street. But hes not a robo. I also dont know how old he is or the approximation. Theres sunflower seeds already in the mix and im afraid too much of that would be bad for him but theres flax seed in the grocery store. Id buy some of that.

Thanks

How did you find him off the street?

Was someone selling him or giving him away?

I found him abandoned beside a garbage bin.

I remember your other thread just didn't realise it was you!
I did say there, he's a russian hamster, very likely a russian hybrid (cross between a russian campbells & winter white).

I doubt you're going to be able to find a really good hamster mix there for him but the two you are using should be ok, I don't know the smart heart rodent food one but if it's sold as a general rodent food rather than specifically for hamsters it's probably not good.
I would just stick with the mixes you are using unless you find a better one at some point & don't worry too much about giving extras, just a little protein & occasionally something like the seeds when you want to give him a treat.
Glad he's still doing ok, he was so lucky you found him.
