Re: Need help
Pet-Co & Pet Smart are the 2 major pet store chains in the US and there are a wide variety of toys and treats available. The store employees should hopefully be able to help with picking out toys & treats.
I give my hamsters Greenies mini dog toothbrush treats and mini milkbones, some of my hamsters love the milkbones and other don't but they all like the Greenies toothbrush treats, would be found in the dog section (they look like mini green tooth brushes). Some people say it's not good for hamsters but all of my hamsters love them. I only give them once in a while. They love veggies too!

Re: Need help
The first thing I see that is not great is the lack of the ability to have deep bedding for Elmo. By Elmo in the picture this cage is a fair size and you put a lot of effort into making it. Is it possible to find a shallow bin tub which the cage would fit down in so you could increase his bedding without it falling out of the cage? I'm sure Elmo would love to be able to burrow in his bedding.

Re: Need help
You can really see Elmo's size in comparison to the bowl in the picture. I agree with Nancy, as he still looks young I think he's going to grow into a big hamster . Bin cage is a good option, especially if he likes to dig. Although I now have an image of you driving down the road on your scooter with a big plastic bin strapped to your back!!

Re: Need help
That's not his full length he's sitting on his butt. But I don't know you could be right. He's kinda lazy but likes running under the stuff not really digging. He sleeps by his wheel sometimes. He likes the toilet paper rolls kinda. He's getting use to the new set up. No more newspaper though. Only bedding and toilet paper
