Default Happy Healthy Hamster- Food???

I only got my hamster yesterday and at the moment she only has a bag of mixed food and some cherry popcorn treats (they came free, are these bad for them?) and she also has a mineral gnaw block in her cage.

I was wondering if anyone has a list of all the foods you can give to them? And how much of other food (apart from bagged mix) you should give them on daily/weekly basis

Any help would be appreciated Just want to ensure my hammy is fed the right stuff!

I don't know about the healthy food or the cherry popcorn treats. Probably not though. Do you know what brand the food and treats are?

Start off with a good hamster mix as your base, most people tend to use Harry hamster for syrians, you can top up protein with things like mealworms or plain cooked chicken a couple of times a week, only tiny pieces, begin to slowly introduce fresh veg into your hams diet with just one tiny piece every few days & gradually work up to daily giving as much variety as you can depending on whet your ham likes from the safe food list in the wiki section top left of the page, for some odd reason it won't load right now so I can't post the llink.
For treats I prefer to stick to things that are as natural as possible like sunflower, pumpkin & flax seeds, if you want to hand feed for taming you can take some of these out of the food mix to use, other treats should really only be used in moderation.
Most hams love whimzees/antos dog chews so that make a really good treat.
Any foods/treats you may be unsure of just ask.
