Brit animals food?
Hi there guys!
I've recently found a food in my local pet store. I've never seen it anywhere before and can't find much information on it at all.
I decided to buy them the other day because Autumn has become really picky lately and I just thought I'd mix it into her food (my Hammies get Harry hamster and supahamster mixed)
She seemed to love it which is odd for a pelleted type food.
Because I can't find much information on it. It's worried me slightly
I believe it's country of origin is Czech Republic?
Here's a link to its composition
Oh I can't post links yet . It's called Brit animals hamster food
If anyone could shed any light onto it that would be great

I think this is the one you mean, it looks ok & there's another post about it here you could look at.

Re: Brit animals food?
It`s always good to find new foods to add that give some variation in taste and texture as I find hamster bore easily with food. I feed three foods right now to my Russian dwarf hybrid. Burgess Supahamster (normal version not the dwarf version), Supreme Science Selective biscuits (a biscuit formed food) and JR Farm dwarf food from Zooplus, although this will be changed possibly to Burgess Dwarf food in the future to save on postage from Zooplus.
I think it`s wise to keep an eye on their eating habits because my theory is, a little of what you fancy does you good and hamsters do like hoarding stuff and finding new, tasty things. The food in the image is a pelleted extruded biscuit and may or may not go down well. It`s all in the `suck it and see` category really. I would only add a few to begin with and even break them up if they prove larger than normal as tapping them in a pestle & mortar usually helps make them into easier mouthfuls. x

Re: Brit animals food?
It's quite low in fibre, too low really. They need quite a lot of fibre in their diet. I mix Rosewood naturals herbs plus with Harry hamster. My hams seem to eat more of their food with it being mixed rather than just giving them Harry hamster.

Re: Brit animals food?
My theory is,
"Get the most healthiest food you can find and if they don't like it just keep giving them it. If they get hungry enough they will eat it." But then again, it probably isn't good as what you give them should satisfy their diet and their taste!
The Brit animals food kind of looks a bit like dog food!

Re: Brit animals food?
The Brit animals one isn't very appetising and isn't going down well here - Nibble won't touch it and even Glowy the dustbin doesn't seem to like it!
