Default Cucumber?

Hello! I was just wondering how much cucumber I should give to my hamster in one go? Is one slice alright or is that too little/too much?

ok! I'll give him the whole slice then.

Last week I gave him a tiny bit like 1/4 of a slice to see if he liked it and he did

I give ours a small chunk. So I cut a thick slice (about a quarter of an inch thick), then cut that slice into four quarters and Charlie gets one quarter - like a small chunk.

I bought a cucumber this week especially for my new hamster (hope to be getting a roborovski on Sunday) so this is a useful thread! I will give her a tiny chunk on the journey in case she gets thirsty.

I gave him a tiny chunk last week then I gave him a slice this week but it was really thin :3 He seemed to like it he carried it into his bed though so i hope he eats the whole thing otherwise its going to be gross.

It's really the seeds in the middle they like so I usually give a slightly thicker half or 1/4 rather than a whole slice although they will still quite expertly remove the middle & leave a neat ring of skin if I do give a whole slice!
If it's been taken to bed & you left the skin on that will probably still be in there!

I ordered loads of new cage things for him so when I put them in his cage I will dig through his nest and try and find it so it doesn't rot

Normally I'll cut off a small chink and cut them into quarters for mine and then give them one quarter each. However I gave them a bigger chunk when they were being shown because that was their water source for the duration of the show.
