Default Are any of these ok?

My mum has these in her lounge - are any of them safe to be pinched for my hams?

Brazil nuts actually make a great treat and also help hamster's teeth and nails, make a small crack in it first but then give it to them in the shell just with a hole in it! ♥

Are the big ones the brazil nuts? I know the nuts themselves are ok, but wondered if it was ok to give them in the shell, as they are?

The big ones are walnuts they are okay make sure you put a hole in it so hammy can crack it open and the smell will entice hammy if there is a hole in it.

They are fine to give in the shell (with or without a small hole to help your ham get inside) except for almonds, never give those in the shell.

My hammies love walnuts but none seem able to get to it without my first creating a hole/small crack to help them first.

Almonds aren't suitable, if I remember correctly, at least when in their shell as the skin on almonds contains cyanide.

The rest are fine, in and out of the shell. I've yet to have a ham able to get into a hazelnut (or maybe they just don't realise there is a tasty nut inside!) though.

Good to know! We always have a nut bowl around at Christmas.
