Treats?

I give Greenies. My Robo loves them, but my Syrian not so much - he prefers Whimzees.

You'll always get conflicting advise over absolutely everything, so you just need to make an informed decision which you feel is right for you and your ham.

I've given mine greenies, just as a bit of a change from whimzees but they really weren't all that bothered, typical lol! I don't have a problem with them as an occasional treat though, everything in moderation & as barley says you can read up on things & ask questions if you're unsure but ultimately you have to make your own decision, my motto has always been if in doubt don't!

I have a puppy and I give her greenies. That is why I was wondering. Scarlet is a Syrian too. My puppy has the "Petite: Dental Chews for dogs". I don't know if she will like it, but can I just cut off the part that looks like a toothbrush and give the rest to my dog? Just to test her out. At least if she doesn't like it then I am not wasting much.

BTW, can she have raw or cooked oats? You know, like the oatmeal. I have a ton of that. Not a big fan of it, so was wondering if i could dump some off on her?

A few dry oatflakes are fine or a little porridge/oatmeal made with water, only a tiny bit, maybe a teaspoon now & then.

My hams love oats, I sprinke some in their food every time I feed them. Never tried giving them any cooked though.

Oh goodness, reading this has made me realise that I give Flump WAY too many treats!
Only giving yogurt drops once a week or so? She gets 3 per day! Whooooops >.<

The yogurt drops package says you can feed them 1 or 2 PER DAY. Are they recommending too much??
