Tribal dog treats are absolutely fine as treats - treats are not supposed to be regular, as they're treats. I do apologise, I should have made the feeding recommendation for each one more clear. But they're not high enough to be classed as a "very special treat" - it's not extreme at all. Mealworms are often 24% fat! tribal dog treats are totally fine as a once every two weeks sort of thing, which is how dog treats should be fed anyway Or at least that's how I always feed them

However, I'm almost certain I seem you mentioned you feed cat/dog kibble? If so, the tribal dog treats are MUCH lower in fat than kibble - I don't think I've ever seen a dog or cat food with less than 15% fat. Plus, they're also fortified for dogs and cats, so are really best avoided.

Anyways, OP - don't worry about the tribal dog treats. They're way healthier than yoghurt drops and dog/cat kibble, and you're not going to have any issues with using them as a once every two week sort of thing (or even a monthly treat if you wish, as it usually takes my dwarves a while to finish them haha).

The only American dog treat I'm familiar with is the nutro crunchy peanut butter ones. They should be available at either petco or petsmart, but I'm not too familiar with other stores there.

Though if you send me a link to the ingredients of a treat you're looking into buying, I'll be able to let you know if it's suitable or not

When you keep saying yogurt drops to you mean like the yogies? Because I don't feed her them that often.

Yes - personally, I don't agree with feeding them at all as they're essentially pure fat and sugar. But that's just me with my hamsters, you can feed your own hamsters whatever you want - I'm just offering my own opinion on them.

And like I said, I'm not familiar with American stores or brands. Can you link me to a dog treat you're interested in? And then I'll be able to help you.

Just a note though - dog biscuits are, usually, fairly crumbly. Even though they're hard to us, they're not hard to dogs and hamsters. The nutro crunchy ones will double as a chew because they're hard, but not many other brands will because they're not hard enough to wear down their teeth.

I would toss them out and not feed them.

My three have never had a yoghurt drop in their life, and they couldn't care less - a piece of fruit or an extra nut/seed is just as yummy as a treat to them and they don't notice any difference at all.

Can she have rice crispies? I eat those for breakfast. The sugar is only 4 grams for 1 1/4 cups
