Default Great grow your own hamster treats!

I saw this on ebay as I was getting some new bedding and a water bottle/bed and it looks like a really good idea.

SW Hamster Seed Mix- Grow your own food YUM YUM******** | eBay

Basically you put some seeds in a tray and water them not very often as a lot of the plants are weeds so the soil does not have to be good and you get:

Chickweed
•White Clover
•Red Clover
•Crimson Clover
•Dandelion
•Mallow
•Marigolds
•Nipplewort
•Plaintain
•Shepherds Purse
•Sow Thistle
•Trefoil
•Vetch
•Alfalfa
•Timothy Grass

What do you think ?

I've just planted some of this - I have little seedlings today! I guess the proof of the pudding is whether Nibble eats it when it's grown.

Those pictures are So adorable.
Its a shame there was not much sun for them to grow.
At the moment Jasper loves his sun flower hearts and marble is all over the oats.
And when I say they like them I mean they will stuff down as many as they can get there paws on XD

They do grow well outside in the summer too, I've got some now that are full size plants & I just chop a little bit off for them, the plants are beginning to look a bit sad now though so it'll be back to the window sill soon!

Mint is safe for them but it might be a bit strong on it's own, I've never actually tried it but you could just give a teeny bit & see....

Oh I've had that seed mix in my watched items for ages, good to know it's worth buying! Smokey loves fresh stuff from the garden and it will be handy to grow some bits on my windowsill for Winter - she had some clover the past two days and she goes nuts for it!

And she likes mint very much too!
