Default Egg box

So basically i'm making a hamster maze out of cardboard boxes and tubes and stuff.
I want to use this egg box and i've just cut it to fit to the maze but on the inside of the lid is some dry raw egg. I was wondering if this was safe? And also if it isn't is there a way for me to still use the same box but cover or remove the egg marks.

I wouldn't chance it cookietiger!
Did you know you can buy a pack of egg boxes from P@H? You get them in the bird section.

Raw egg is risky, it's a perfect substance for all kinds of nasty bacteria and germy stuff to grow in. Some people don't even eat soft boiled eggs because of the risk of salmonella, like pregnant women for example, and that's straight out of the shell!

I try and use all my egg boxes for the ham but if someone has gotten egg goop on it then it's straight in the bin, annoying as it is. P@h is a good tip or if you find anywhere selling supplies for chicken keepers! I got a big stack of 25 plain egg boxes from my partners brother when they moved and had to rehome their chickens and they've come in very handy.

Ok thank you guys! I tried scrapping off the bits of the box with the dry egg gloop on them but I will go check out those boxes from p@h.
I would never want to risk Crumpet's life.
