Re: Hammie snack help
Hello!
Egg is scrambled is good for hamsters as it's a good source of protein when fed in moderation! Try not to cook the egg in oil however so it's not greasy!
There's a ton of good foods to feed hamsters, there's good hamster treats you can buy in shops and you can even make your own treats!
Some treats I recommend are
- Sunflower seeds
- Pumpkin seeds
- Honey treat sticks
- Small amounts of brown bread
- Yogurt, Milk, Chocolate and Honey drops
- Chicken, Milk or Plain Dog biscuits
- Plain cereal e.g. Cheerios, Plain Shreddies, Plain Shredded Wheat, Cornflakes
- Dried fruit
Good luck with Elsa! ♥

Re: Hammie snack help
Mine likes a bit of hard boiled egg as well as scrambled, she tends to prefer the white!

A bit of cooked pasta or rice (rinsed with cold water to cool it off) goes down a treat too!
She also loves tofu but I know most people don't eat that. It's actually her favourite treat I think!

Harvey's favourite is broccoli, so cute when she's sat there holding a little 'tree'. Doesn't like carrot at all, cucumber is ok, cheese goes down well as does plain chicken.

Charlie goes potty for a piece of roast chicken! Other treats he gets are - a piece of cheese, half a brazil nut, a monkey nut, a piece of banana. Banana and chicken are probably the favourites.

I get dog treats for my rats and hamster. The meaty sausages are their favourite at the moment. Zoe likes a dog chocolate too. Mealworms are a good treat but Zoe doesn't like them.

Re: Hammie snack help
Larry goes crazy for the tiniest bit of strawberry, he'll steal it out of my hand and take it in to his house so I don't steal it back. I don't know how he'll feel when strawberries go out of season!
Winston likes uncooked broccoli.
