My Dolly is the same with these, sometimes it can be in her cage for ages, other times it can be gone in 2 days!

I thought it would be something that would just get chewed so far and not eaten.
It's just vegetable fibre so it's fine to be eaten, it does get eaten even if they just chew a bit but even if they eat the whole thing it won't hurt them just might want to limit how often you give them.

Thanks Cypher! I can't believe he could eat a whole crocodile! there were two types of toothbrushes - the veggie one and an algae one - he won't touch the algae one!

Thanks for that.
I will have to get some next time I'm at the supermarket.

Thanks for all the responses! I get mine from a small local pet/vet supplies shop, and always get the smallest size.

@Serendipity: whoa! I thought these chews would last the hams at least a couple of weeks! He must really like it if that's the case!

I also got some toothbrush whimzees recently and all the hams love it! Although they all stashed it in their respective nests so i have yet to see who ate more.

haha--kuba, the first time Hazel Nut got a whimzee it was demolished within a couple of days I think. However, since then, the novelty has worn off and though she always has access to one, she will go through periods of, like Skeever and others said, ignoring it and then rediscovering her love for it. I have noticed she goes through toothbrushes quicker than alligators though

I think they prefer the toothbtush shapes because the little bristles are a nice shape to gnaw on hahaha

Thin Lizzy: Whimzees dog chews are also sometimes known over here as Antos Dog Chews. I get mine in a local indie pet shop, who sell them individually so I was able to try them out with the hams without getting stuck with a bag. I think others have found them online/in p@h?
Thanks Velma,
That's good to know that Antos Dog Chews can be bought individually. The last thing I want is to buy a bag of them and my hams don't like them!
