Dog Biscuit?
I was wondering if anyone could reccommend a dog biscuit that their hammy loves to eat? I went to the petshop and asked for some dog biscuits, the ones that help hams to keep their teeth in good shape and the lady filled up a small bad of different coloured dog biscuits in it, there were red ones, white ones, brown ones. I have no idea what they are called, but my hamster absolutely hates them, he wont touch them. Currently I am giving him a tiny bit of green veg along with his harry hamster mix and some oats here and there, but he doesnt like the dog biscuits, so anyone know a brand that their syrian hammy loves?

Re: Dog Biscuit?
As we give our dogs Winalot shapes, thats what I give Jasper, a Syrian, he gets through about one a week. But its quite a big box, if you don't have a dog, it wouldn't be worthwhile buying a whole box. Maybe your hammy just isn't keen on dog biscuits.

Re: Dog Biscuit?
I have the kind for puppies, for teething, but my hamster never really touched them. I haven't tried many things with the new little guy yet.

Re: Dog Biscuit?
Ours like the biscroc ones. They are the ones recommended by the National Hmaster Council as they have no added salt. We also give the the marrowbone markies occasionally. Some hammies like them some dont. You can often pick up one or two in the pet shops if they have a freeby dog bowl of them on the counter

Re: Dog Biscuit?
They sound fine to me. Try one and see what they think. We find they tend to last a while.
