Default What do you feed your Hamster?

Sirius eats P@H nuggets but I see lots of photos of HC members feeding their Hamsters a muesli mix. I thought muesli was high in sugar and didn't contain much fibre? Does it not matter so much with a Hamster? I know muesli isn't recommended for Rabbits and that's why I assumed it wouldn't be the best option for Hamsters either hence why I don't buy it.

You can't just assume that every mix/muesli is high in sugar. It's like saying every chocolate tastes bad

I feed my robos the Harry hamster mix. I ordered the Science Selective pellets to try them. Muesli isn't recommended for rabbits- but that isn't necessary the case with hamsters. I'm not saying pellets/nuggets are bad- I'm just saying if the food, whether it's a muesli or pellets, has good nutritional values then it's fine.

I use a mix of Oxbow and Hazel Hamster, and another mix called Higgins Sunburst (carefully monitored, as it's higher in sugars than the other two, but neither of my hams are diabetes-prone)

I also give extra protein in the form of dried mealworms for my Robo, and high-protein cat treats for my syrian

I would never say such a thing about chocolate!

I did assume it was all high in sugar. I don't even know the nutritional value of P@H Hamster nuggets! I'm not as clued up on Hamster food as I am Rabbit food unfortunately. Anyway, Sirius enjoys them so that's all that matters ay

Sirius seems to eat everything offered to him. Is there any food your Hamsters refuse to eat?
