Here are some halloween treats I made today! Not all recipies are mine and i will pay respect were due.
PUMPKIN CHEW- ErinsHamsters
YWN(you will need):
80g oats
200g flour
1 mashed carrot/pumpkin
2tbsp olive oil
Food colouring (optional but looks cute)
Drop of honey/ hamster glue (flour & water)
METHOD
1. wizz up or mash the carrot and oats untill it resembles a pulp
2.Add the flour and olive oil (also food colouring if using)
3. Knead and then shape- roll into balls then flaten slightly, then take a knife and cut lines so it looks like the curves in a pumpkin
4.Put a drop of honey or flour glue on the top and shape 3 leaves for every pumpkin and stick on.
5.Put in the fridge for 15 mins while you preheat the oven to 150 degrees
6. Cook for 1 hour
7. You can also draw on faces with black food colouring.
TP TREATS
YWN: Toilet paper
Various hamster treats or fruit and veggies.
Twine
Food colouring ( black)
METHOD:
1. Put the treats in the center of the toilet paper and wrap up.
2. Get more toilet paper and wrap again.
3.Secure underneath the treats with twine so the bottome bit of TP is hanging down like a ghost.
4. Paint on the faces of the ghosts with food colouring.
5. Hang from the top of your buddies cage and watch them get it down and rip the paper to eat the treats inside!!
SCARY COOKIES
YWN: Your hammies favourite fruit or veg
Wholemeal Flour
Warm water
Milk drops/ yoghurt drops etc.
METHOD:
1. Mash your fruit or veg untill it resembles a paste, add a drop of water if needed
2. Put 2tbsp of warm/ boiling water into a cup and add your drops, this should melt the drops so you have a Chocolatey paste.
3.Add the flour untill you can incorporate no more-then add the chocolate paste and mix/ knead in well
4.Shape into spiders, witches, ghosts, bats etc.
5. Put them into a preheated oven at 150 degrees for45 mins to and hour
Let me hear your themed treats! I will make all I can in the coming days!!

These are so cute! The first one sounds good enough for me to eat, though I'd probably add spices to it as well
Edited: what amount of pumpkin do I need for that recipe?

Re: Homemade Halloween Themed Treats!!
I have made halloween themed goodies in the past.
Here is the "Jack-O-Lantern" treat I made for one of my hams that has since gone to the rainbow bridge.
And here is a pumpkin cake I made for another of my hams who also is at the rainbow bridge.

Re: Homemade Halloween Themed Treats!!
To make the Jack-o-Lantern one, just smear some peanut butter on some bread, and then add carrots on top, shredded of course. And on top of that, arrange black oil sunflower seeds into a face.
Its been a while since I made the cake, but I think I put in canola oil, flour, fresh mashed pumpkin, and some baking soda (or was it baking powder?) and then nuked it for a few minutes. After that, I just decorated it with 4 pumpkin seeds.
