Default Nature's Touch hamster food.....

Anyone else tried it?

I bought a bag from my local p@h, thinking it might be interesting.
Well, i opened it and its mostly Timothy hay with some fruit and other bits in it.
Really disappointed,
On the plus side it has wheat ears and ive found my furries love wheat ears!!

I was just about to say wheat ears are available at Zooplus, my lot seem to love them, especially the dwarfs

I just paid £4 for same sized bag as Harry hamster which would've cost me £2
I haven't opened it so I think I'll take it back for exchange. My hamster doesn't like hay.
Thanks for sharing you info !

No probs Tutu.
Its mainly hay, there is some other bits in there, but i'm gonna use mine for enrichment.
And I'm sure its only a 500g bag instead of 700g

And i have a bag of wheat ears on order from zooplus along with the new Alexander cage ive bought for "The Boy"

I've seen this today in pets at home and I hate it! Its basically hay and a few extra bits thrown together and given a nature name People believed it was better though, I saw three people purchase it while I was there. And the fibre in the mix is too high- 15% !!

I bought the chinchilla version (not tried it with them yet but I imagine they will enjoy it). I was surprised to see a hamster version that looked similar as they are not naturally grass eaters like Chinnies and Rabbits. Won't be buying the hamster version when I get my new hamster

okay ik this thread is hella old buuuuut-

i currently use natures touch as a mix in with nuggets (as well as a variety of other things but my hamsters get mostly nuggets) and its also quite good for scatter feeding, as its so largely hay based i would not recommend it as a main diet, like i said its a nice thing to mix in a bit of with nuggets for some variety
