Now this sounds good! I just checked Amazon (What else ? ) and they have similar in gerber foods, so I may get some for my guys too. Thanks Hamster's family.
Ted E. Bear should be interested tonight. I just got strawberry yogurt drops for him. I usually don't do the sweet stuff, but I figured a little bit can't hurt.

The sun is out today, & we noticed we already have a bumper crop of dandelion flowers waving merrily about in the garden. Offered one to SilverDollar who took about a microsecond to decide it was amazing & he ate it all up there & then. Sadly, it's going to take more than one little hamster to make any impact on our dandelion crop...

My syrians each got a gravy bone and an ear of wheat today (JR Farm Nibble Ears: Great Deals on Natural Small Pet Snacks at zooplus)

My dwarfs got a millet spray each as a treat. Oak also got a monkey nut which he seemed rather unimpressed with!

Last night the hams had cabbage, kiwi and egg biscuit.

Today, they've had scrambled egg for breakfast, and spinach and red pepper for din dins.

Today (so far) Henry has had his regular hamster food mix. Is Quaker plain oatmeal out of the can ok for him?

Yup, that will be fine. Is that a powdered one or one with plain rolled oats? If they're big oats you can feed them dry, but powdered can be made into porridge which most love.

As long as it's plain with no added sugar or flavourings it will be fine for him. Make sure it's definitely sugar-free though, because being a hybird means he is diabetes-prone.

All my guys LOVE porridge for breakfast.

^Thank you! . They are just plain rolled oats. Thank you for telling me that he is diabetes-prone; I will be especially careful feeding him anything with even the teensiest bit of sugar (even natural sugar) in it.

Our hamsters have usually enjoyed both leaves and flowers. Although I wouldn't give both at the same time, and only a small leaf (or part of one) as dandelions are a bit of a diuretic (spelling?) I think. It was a flower I gave the other day, but SilverDollar has also liked a small new leaf before.
