Default Re: Best Mix for Diabetic Dwarf Ham??

I`m sure you will get to the bottom of this soon zany and I know you have a great vet, so between you doing your bit with the diet and the vet looking at the urine issue, two heads are better than one, as they say!

Russian dwarfs do tend to be the ones affected most by this although some get through life without any issues. But the positive here is, Bluebell and Remi have a doting mum who will go to any lengths to make sure they are both as well as they can be. x

Science selective isnt a better food - its just a different one and food is all opinion anyway, I just personally prefer the ingredients of science selective is all and that is 100% a personal thing anyway. Plus for our trio its helpful with other issues so for me its really handy

I also put some of the Science Selective biscuits in with their main mix, to make sure they are getting everything they need whilst keeping everything in the right portions - Todd in particular is a toad for being fussy. :3
Fab, I have plenty of bran flakes and fibre flakes that I use for my mice so Remi and Bluebell can get them as well then

And I think that the science selective sounds like a good option just now for my two - they really love the JR farm stuff but leave certain parts of it all the time so probably are lacking a bit in their diet which science selective would prevent.

Thanks RH The last thing i wanted though was more ill furries, especially after four vet visits this week I'll do what I can though, both Remi and Bluebell are happy and active just now (and Remi is talking to me again, hurrah ) I'm still trying to get a urine sample from Remi, she refuses to cooperate in the carrier (twisted little beggar!)

Thanks everyone for all your help, I really appreciate it. I will let you know how it goes making changes to their diet I have also PM'd Vectis at your suggestion so will see what she says as well
