Food Measuring
Hello,
I am currently feeding my hamsters HH. I read you are supposed to feed them 0.5 g or 0.2 oz. Is there an easier way to measure then searching for a scale (which I don't have!) every time you feed them?

Re: Food Measuring
Measure it out, tip it into a spoon and then you'll know how much 0.5g looks like. It doesn't have to be exact

Re: Food Measuring
I don't stick to exact measurements, I've never weighed the food out I just give them a couple of teaspoons a day

Re: Food Measuring
Yeah I just use a teaspoon. One teaspoon for the dwarfies, and two for big fluffy Fin.

Re: Food Measuring
I use one of those little green spoons that come with the tefal actifryer! I got one with the replacement machine when our first one was accidentally melted , but you can buy them on eBay as spares. I find it a perfect size, and accurately gives each hamster one scoop of mix each night.

Re: Food Measuring
I have those baking spoons used for measuring flour etc so I tend to use the one teaspoon per day. If there's he eats more I just top up a little!
