Those little ones look to be Russian hybrids. In which case, the best food for you would be one that is low in sugar, or sugar free all together to avoid the development of diabetes.

By the way, they are both very cute. Lovely hansom little fluffs x

From the look of the face, the third one looks to be more 'Siberian' than the other two. The second one is definitely not a pure Siberian, as that is a Campbells pattern.

The likelihood is that they are all hybrids, so I would stick with a sugar free diet.

I agree, the mix with the least sugar is best for your hams!

Versele Laga "Hamster Crispy" has been discontinued and has been replaced with "Crispy Muesi Hamsters & Co". It does have info on the pack:

Composition
Derivatives of vegetable origin, cereals (40%), minerals, seeds.

Analytical Composition
15% protein, 10% fat, 7% crude fibre, 3% crude ash, 0.5% calcium, 0.4% phosphorus.

My own personal observations:
With 15% protein it is more suitable for adult hamsters over 6 months old unless extra protein food is given probably daily. The feed contains a relatively high proportion of peanuts and sunflower seeds which is where the fat most likely comes from. No grass pellets which is good.

My Syrian Hamsters' verdict;
Yeah we like it except for all that cereal. Too much cereal. Boy oh boy such a lot of cereal. But you can continue to give it to us and we'll just pick out the seeds and peanuts and leave the rest!

According to Versele Laga, Crispy Muesli Hamsters & Co is suitable for all hamsters including dwarfs. From what I see though there are some big extruded bits that will need to be broken up for dwarfs. But I have no experience of dwarfs so can't comment further.

The only problem really with that mix is that the composition is not specific enough. It's difficult to say whether or not it is sugary, because it does not specify what cereals and vegetables are used. :/ I would be wary. Are the cereal bits whole or concentrated into biscuits?

Hi,
I've found another type of food from Versele Laga:

Versele-Laga Premium Petfood

How is it?
