Suet can be ok to put a bit of weight on them. I sometimes give mine the wild berry flavoured suet. Only a little of it but it goes down well

Re: wildlife prods for hams.
I have this bag of peanuts/monkey nuts that I found in the pet bird section of Petco. The one in the wild bird section was about double the size and I really didn't need that many nuts. I also found some oat sprays in the pet bird section and I love how it encourages the hams to tune into their foraging instincts to "harvest" the oat seeds from the husks/chaff and even use the bits of oat straw to line their nests, or just for something to nibble on.
Now, if I could only find some wheat sprays.....

Re: wildlife prods for hams.
Sorry to open this post up again, but wanting a more upto date answer. I know meal worms are okay but has anyone used or know if 'any' of the poundland or wilkinsons wild bird food are suitable for hams? Thanks
