Default how important is a hamsters diet when it comes to longevity?

Just wondering how much of a role hamster diet plays when it comes to their lifespan? Do hamsters that live longer then their life expectancy eat the high quality foods?

I'm not aware of any scientific studies that have investigated this Panda's mummy.
I would think there are numerous factors that influence lifespan including genetics, nutrition, accommodation, exercise levels, stress levels, illness etc.
